So after a nice long day at work, Billy and I went over to my dad's for dinner (although due to this lovely "all day sickness" I wasn't able to eat anything). We pulled my dad out onto the patio and broke the news to him. I do believe my exact words were "Well, I don't know how to say this but, uhm... You are going to be a grandpa!" Then came the silence, awkward nervous laughing then he managed to stumbled out the words "congratulations...?!" Then a lot of stumbled words, but I do believe there was a mixture of shock, excitement, nervousness for us, and happiness for us. I am honestly surprise at his reaction. I was expecting the worst, but am very happy that it went well.
We then went inside and told my little brother, and his response was to give us both high-fives, then make some inappropriate sex jokes. Haha.My older brother reacted with shock, but congratulated us and seemed happy for us.
Then we headed over to ihop to meet up with Billy's sister. We told her and showed her the sonograms and she was excited. I am super happy to have her support and excitement. I know she will be super supportive throughout everything.
Now tomorrow we are telling his mom after church and telling his dad after we go out to dinner. So we shall see how that goes. I am nervous but super excited for his mom to know.
My mind is still running wild with everything. It is all just becoming so real ya know? I can't wait to have another sonogram to see the little one growing inside of me.
